Scaffold Erection Safety and Procedures Training

Local 16 will host a training next Monday and Tuesday, May 19 & 20, on Scaffold Erection Safety and Procedures. This class will be taught by Kent Jorgenson, Chairman of the IATSE Safety Committee and the training officer of Local 80, Hollywood grips.

As you know, Local 16 participates in the construction of scaffold structures for a variety of events from projection platforms to concert staging to the Icer Air ski jump. There are safety concerns as well as erection and use procedures that all stagehands should know.
Kent is a certified scaffold trainer and an ETCP Certified Rigger.
